serviced the movement. new main spring. cleaned dial, replaced crystal .with client supplied new crystal.
relumed original hands due to the fact that client supplied minute replacement hand did not fit.
replaced the unsigned non-original crown with client supplied seiko crown that is slightly larger than the original..
First model (62MAS) divers with dolphin-logo
cut down client supplied seiko dive bracelet from 20 to 19MM. had to remove an additional 1mm from the
top link on either side AND from front or top of top link to keep it from hitting lugs.
case and bracelet were brush finished
original bezel on left is the first model diver´s bezel is bi-directional with no "clicks" with
a lume dot with 4 minute dots on either side of the lume
bezel on right was supposed to be the replacement, but you can see that it is thinner in height then the
original and it has a triangle instead of a dot
the bezel problem was compounded by the fact that the wire spring keeper on the left, the original, is thicker
(X 1.5) than that of the right replacement ring.
when we attached the replacement to the watch, the bezel is too loose due to the fact the channel in the case
above is wider than that of the replacement, so it was not tight,
We attempted to use the thicker original ring in the replacement bezel, but the channel IN the BEZEL was
too narrow.
