Pierce made most of their movements themselves at their own factory. In many cases Pierce incorporated novel features into their movements, and their chronograph and automatic wristwatch movements are especially unusual and sought after by collectors. Pierce BEGAN manufacturing MOVEMENTS AFTER the ebouche manufacturers refused to supply movements to Pierce. They had to start designing and manufacturing their own movements. Most Pierce collectors focus on collecting wristwatches rather than pocket watches. Pierce made WWII wrist watches had app 10 different Pierce calibres and at least one chronograph movement, the Pierce calibre 134. All Pierce movements were manufactured between 1930 and 1955.
